Dr. Young’s Ambition on Lymphoma Research

Dr. Ken H Young is an assistant professor of pathology in Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. He was trained under Drs. Weisenburger and Chan at University of Nebraska in Omaha. He moved on to Madison and took the current position in 2005. He has been a productive researcher and his new international collaborative efforts are focused on using molecular profiling for analysis of the p53 signaling pathway and their significance in predicting clinical outcome in hematologic malignancies.

His recent projects include (1) GEP profiling of FFPE lymphomas treated with R-CHOP; (2) Prognostic significance of BCL2 in lymphoma patients treated with CHOP and R-CHOP; (3) Prognostic value of C-MYC in lymphoma patients treated with CHOP and R-CHOP; (4) GEP vs IHC for ABC-GCB classification in DLBCL patients treated with R-CHOP; (5) The role on Cyclin D1 in lymphoma patients treated with CHOPĀ  and R-CHOP; (6) Study on rare cases with concurrent p53/C-MYC and BCL2/C-MYC in DLBCL.
